EDEN REFUGE

Nestled in the castle walls surrounding AMELIA, renowned as the most ancient town of Italy, the adults-only refuge is designed for personal exploration, creative transformation and couple kindling.

The majestic experiential space hovers like an earthship over the hanging gardens of Amelia, Umbria. Founded on a megalithic site, the ancient town is located just one hour north of the eternal city, making EDEN the ideal getaway. The restoration of EDEN was effected with sustainable materials and honours local artisans of earthenware, marble, iron and other natural materials. Designed with the ecosystem in mind, the awe inspiring structure transports us with its open, luminous spaces into a lateral dimension.

“Wellness, be it emotional, physical and/or spiritual, is facilitated and expedited when we are immersed in nature.”

The EDEN PROJECT

What Sets Us Apart

The EDEN project is virtuous by nature and not only because of its low energy impact restoration and its location in the fertile heart of Umbria. Our mission is also to enhance the local community by conserving and celebrating the ecological, agricultural, artistic & architectural resources.

Our ethic of restoring and repairing includes the adjacent land, once terraced and cultivated but abandoned many years ago, it needs our help. We are in the process of recovering adjacent land through a community project with the aim to restore the gardens and their terraces to their original state. The EDEN Foundation, dedicated to the preservation of this ancient piece of land, will open in 2026.

EDEN also aims to foster creative collaborations with people like you who are aligned with our philosophy. We invite you to share and collaborate with us to evolve and nourish an ever growing community of people who believe in the power of transformation.

THE MASTER

EDEN’s master suite is built inside a Roman arcade. Sexy and refined, the interior is draped with opulent venetian fabrics that frame the bathtub for two with a bird’s eye view on the valley. Locally handmade terra cotta flooring and walls are the highlight of the vibrational materials used to create this sacred space that is painted by the sunset every evening. Find yourself immersed in a sensual bubble of luxury and total privacy. A soft leather padded door grants access to the cabinet of curiosities.

Everchanging light penetrates panoramic windows, illuminating a series of intersecting Medieval arches. Soaring cealings lead us into the spa, a natural stone cave entirely dedicated to the wellness of body, mind and soul. Dressed in rare Versilian marble, the EDEN spa and its adjacent Etruscan vault represent the perfect location for all of the treatments that comprise the BV Method.

Developed over the course of twenty-five years, Betony’s pioneering work is multidisciplinary, spanning in sexology, therapeutic and practical teachings, clinical hypnotherapy and curative sharing. Marked by highly personalised experiences that are happenings in themselves, all appointments in EDEN are tailored specifically to your personal needs and desires.

THE CABINET of curiosities

The cabinet of curiosities permanently showcases the Paradise Found Fine Erotic Jewellery collection which is unveiled by appointment for private fittings and custom orders. This area of EDEN also converts into a miniature theatre for very private Members’ events on demand.

A companionway grants access to the stage that demures under the Etruscan vault where the Theta Frequency sessions, bondage rituals and other somatic experiences that comprise the BV Method take place. An infinity mirror reveals a secret door leading to the lounge and creative studios.

A majestic travertine staircase transports us to the ground level of EDEN and into the chef’s kitchen in the Roman vault. Large glass doors grant access to the panoramic terrace, an elegant invitation to descend into the ancient hanging garden of EDEN to forage plants and harvest homegrown vegetables. This fertile land provides zero kilometer gourmandise for EDEN’s guests and hosts 80 secular olive trees and a Roman cistern. The restoration of this land represents a very important part of EDEN’s ethic.

Amelia

Amelia is known as the most ancient town of Italy. Its historic centre is a true treasure sorrounded by the largest and most well preserved Megalithic poligonal walls in Italy. Noted for its cultural heritage, Amelia vants many Renaissance palaces, including Palazzo Farrattini, designed by Antonio da San Gallo il Giovane in the 15th century, as a model for the infamous Palazzo Farnese in Rome. Palazzo Petrignani, Palazzo Venturelli, the church of Sant’Agostino characterised by frescos from Francesco Appiani and the baroque theatre which was a model for the Fenice in Venice, are just a few examples of what lies within the ancient walls. Treasures of unestimated value are exhibited in the Archeological museum most renowned for the Germanico bronze statue, a colossal Roman masterpiece that measures over 2,15 metres.

Umbria, also known as the “green lung of Italy”, is warm and lush most of the year and strategically positioned in the middle of the country. Surrounded by a verdant countryside, Amelia is home to the Slow Movement and renowned for its artistic, architectural and cultural heritage.
EDEN is a sacred space – all experiences are strictly confidential. Phones and cameras are only allowed in designated areas. Guest must be referred and approved in advance. Take this opportunity and time to leave the world behind and focus on pleasure.
